HAYES MEMORIAL PARK. Dedicated in Loving memory of AVALEEN HAYES (1913-1999) By her loving husband, George, and Children, Martha, George and Mary. Her love for trees and flowers were the inspiration for this park. Avaleen's service to others included: Organizing the city's first Cub Scout, Brownie and Girl Scout Troops; Teaching second graders; and playing the organ at Adairsville Methodist Church for over twenty-five years.
A woman whose smile lit up a room, she was a lovely person. May the serenity and beauty of this spot forever reflect the beauty of her life.
