NORMAN HOUSE 1910. The house is a Queen Anne-style cottage and was built of brick and wood for $1,500. A six-room home with heart pine flooring, plate glass windows, a fireplace in every room and a large porch. The house survives as originally built and includes fireplaces with original tile surrounds and mahogany mantles.
In 1986, the front porch was enclosed for a retail establishment. Clifford Pierce Norman, wife Nancy Lee Shell Norman, and their three daughters were the only family to occupy the house. Clifford was a cotton-broker and merchant.
