THE SPENCER HOUSE. William Henry Spencer, Negro Educator, lived in this Neo-classical home from 1912-1925, during the time he was Supervisor of the Colored Schools in Muscogee County. This house is dedicated to his memory by his daughters, and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
