Masonic Temple served as the meeting place of Odenton Lodge 209, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, from 1912 to 2001. Local Masons constructed the temple in the fashionable colonial revival style as Odenton experienced a period of explosive growth. The Temple exemplifies a type of building that housed lodges serving small communities across Maryland in the early 20th century.
