Inscription
Preston Cliffs or Charles Gift Cecil Calvert, second Lord Baltimore, on March 10, 1658, issued a grant of 1000 acres on the west side of the Chesapeake Bay to Richard Preston. On May 26, 1967, the land was purchased for the site of the first nuclear power plant in Maryland. Maryland Historical Society - 1970
