Home & Burial Site of David Shriver, SR. In 1760, David Shriver, SR., son of German immigrants, settled here and built a grist mill and tannery. He rose to prominence as a Revolutionary War patriot, officer in the Maryland militia, framer of Maryland's 1776 constitution, and state legislator. The brick house, built CA.
1795, was the second home on the property.
