Mitchell House Built in 1769 as the home of Dr. Abraham Mitchell, noted physician. During the Revolutionary War he converted the house into a hospital for the use of wounded soldiers of the Continental army. General Lafayette was a friend of the Mitchell family and visited here. Historical Society of Cecil County
