Inscription

"Bloomingdale" Patented 7 June, 1665, by Captain Robert Morris as "Mount Mill." Purchased by Jacob Seth 1685, acquired about 1820 by Edward Harris whose heirs Misses Mary and Sallie Harris renamed it "Bloomingdale." It passed under will of Miss Sallie Harris to her cousin Severn Teakle Wallis, one of Maryland's most distinguished sons.
