Gen. Arnold Elzey C.S.A. 1818-1871 Born at "Elmwood", and a graduate of West Point, Arnold Elzey (Jones) entered the Civil War, April 1861, with the First Maryland Infantry, C.S.A. At First Manassas he was commissioned Brigadier General. He served under Generals Stonewall Jackson and John Bell Hood.
