First held in 1839, the Calhoun County Fair has continued to this day as one of Michigan’s foremost agricultural attractions. Floral Hall, the oldest building on the fairgrounds, was constructed in 1860 in the then-popular octagon style. The wings were added at later dates. Designed originally for the display of flowers and farm produce, the building still plays a major role at one of the state’s oldest county fairs.
