Battle of Red Bank
Inscription
One mile from here at Ft. Mercer, occurred a severe fight on Oct. 22, 1777, between the Hessian troops, under Col. Von Donop and Col. Green's forces. Col. Von Donop was mortally wounded and his forces completely routed.
