Cornwallis's Headquarters
Inscription
Nov. 21-24, 1777, Cornwallis had headquarters opposite the Court House. His troops camped on the Meeting House grounds. Many soldiers carried from the battle at RedBank were buried here in the Strangers Burying Ground.
