Round Mountain
Inscription
This cone-shaped landmark about 10 Miles from Tularosa was once known as Dead Man’s Hill, and has been the backdrop for several military encounters. In April 1868 a small group of soldiers and Tularosa settlers engaged in battle with about 200 Mescalero ches.
