In 1968, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) was founded by Dr. Thomas Frist Sr., his son Dr. Thomas Frist Jr., and businessman Jack C. Massey. The original office was located here, in a small house near HCA’s first hospital—Park View. At the time, it was one of the nation’s first hospital companies.
With a mission to care for and improve human life, the Nashville-based company, now called HCA Healthcare, has grown into one of the nation’s largest healthcare services providers.
