The 1308, built in 1949, was one of the last working steam locomotives built by Baldwin Locomotive Works for a Class 1 railroad in the U.S. It primarily hauled coal from Logan Co. Retired from C & O Railway service in 1956. Moved in September 1962 to its present location. The 1308 was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 31, 2003.
