Inscription
Bathsheba Bigler Smith, born May 3, 1822, one mile upstream, was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints in 1837. Moved to Nauvoo, IL, where she was a founding member of the Relief Society, the LDS Church charitable women's organization. Was general president 1901-1910. Moved to utah, 1849, and pressed for women's suffrage.
Died 1910.
