Inscription
The Reverend William George and sixteen charter members organized the Harmony Baptist Church in 1812. Congregation, affiliated with American Baptist churches, met in the Sullivan Meeting House from 1838-60. After 1842, meetings alternated with Harmony Meeting House. Present sanctuary was the original church built and dedicated in 1860.
