Ray's Arithmetic

North, Joseph Ray, who wrote the celebrated Ray's Arithmetic, was born, Nov. 25, 1807. At the age of 16, Ray went to Cincinnati where in 1834 he published the first of his series of textbooks on arithmetic and algebra.
