Inscription
Born circa 1825, Walker was an attorney in Wyoming County before the Civil War. After enlisting in the 7th WV Cavalry in 1861, he was promoted to adjutant in the state militia in 1862. He was a delegate to the constitutional convention for WV, 1861-1863. He later served as prosecuting attorney, worked to establish free schools, and taught school.
Died December 23, 1899.
